DIT and National Flight Centre to develop programmes for pilots

Dublin Institute of Technology and the National Flight Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a view to developing a dedicated degree programme for airline pilots.

Following discussions between the National Flight Centre and the Department of Transport Engineering in DIT, it was agreed to strengthen links between both organisations and to build on areas of common interest. The Department of Transport Engineering in DIT provides a range of courses to meet the requirements of the Irish Aerospace industry, from aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul apprenticeships to Private Aircraft Pilot’s licenses. Through listening closely to the needs of the Irish aviation industry in general, new courses are continually being developed, adapted to the changing needs of the industry.
