LLM in Human Rights, NUI Galway

An interdisciplinary program accepting students without law background and providing students with a variety of perspectives on human rights. Small class size allows for personal interaction and personalized approach to teaching. Efficient link between teaching and practice/advocacy though an important number of regular events and established internship support program.

Students are able to develop a profound and interdisciplinary understanding of human rights not only in theory but also in practice. The link which the ICHR maintains between teaching, research and advocacy is beneficial for students’ development of practical and analytical skills thus preparing them efficiently to their professional life. The ICHR has an active internship program which helps to bridge studies and professional life. ICHR also maintains a very active events agenda which allows students to get into direct contact with practitioners.   Small class size allows for a more personalized approach and helps getting a deeper understanding of subjects.  Students are offered a big variety of specialized courses taught by enthusiastic Lecturers leading specialists in their areas.  Students able to efficiently use the opportunities available at the ICHR successfully integrate into professional life.
