DIT will host two International PhD students funded by Ireland’s Higher Education Authority through the

The Government of Ireland – DIT Fiosraigh International Scholarships are awarded to high calibre higher education students from China and India to study on a PhD programme at DIT for a period of up to one year. The scholarships highlight Ireland’s strengths as a centre of international education, promote links with priority countries and strengthen the internationalisation strategies of HEIs.

Two scholarships (one each from China and India) will be awarded to incoming PhD students to study for up to one year on one of our structured PhD programmes in

  • Environment, Energy & Health
  • Information, Communications & Media Technologies
  • New Materials & Devices
  • Society, Culture and Enterprise

Successful candidates will be awarded €10,000 towards travel and living expenses. Project costs will be provided by the DIT designated Research Centre/Research Institute hosting the visiting student.

Interested candidates are invited to submit their Curriculum Vitae to graduateresearchschool@dit.ie. Applicants should include the name of the proposed DIT host supervisor and a brief description of the work to be carried out.

Candidates should be registered for a PhD Programme at an approved University or an approved equivalent degree-awarding body in their home country and applicants must have the support of their home supervisor. The deadline to apply for this opportunity is 12 noon GMT, May 12th 2014.
