Elena Aitova is one of our Centenary Scholarship students from Russia. She is studying an MSc in Sustainable Development, in DIT Bolton Street. Here’s what Elena has to say about her programme so far and why she chose to study it with us….

“Sustainable Development refers to a challenge to meet our present needs without negatively impacting on the needs of the future generation. In recent years, there were increasing debates and discussions about issues such as climate change, pollution and renewable energy. On this course we learn about sustainability in social, political and planning sectors trying to find effective solutions for our common future.  Along with this, the program involves a three-month internship where a student could gain practical skills.
